HONG KONG, August 26, 2020 - Agria Corporation (“Agria” or “the Company”), today make the following announcement:

Equity Accounting of PGW

As was announced in Agria Information Update on November 26, 2019, PGG Wrightson Limited (NZSE: PGW, “PGW”) has ceased to be a subsidiary of the Company, holding through its intermediate subsidiary an interest of approximately 44.33% in PGW, as a result of the Company’s divestment agreement with Ngai Tahu and sale of a certain parcel of shares in PGW to a third party.

As a result, the Company will no longer consolidate the financial results of PGW and will instead account for its investment in PGW by way of equity accounting method.

Future Development

Shareholders are encouraged to monitor the Company’s principal investment in PGW through its public announcement on NZ stock exchange.
